Like all my works for solo instrument, @ (Arobase) is a tribute to music and musicians of oral tradition, improvisers and virtuosos whose talent, constantly renewed imagination, live risk taking, have always fascinated me.

Interpreting and listening @ is being faced with a great improvisation, a kind of fantasy, made up of multiple motifs, each with their own characteristic. All of these patterns are connected in the same form by a network of correspondences where each pattern has meaning only in its relation to the other patterns.

This poetic project is at the origin of the title of the work.
